In this presentation, John Komisin will review examples of his work and discuss the process that he uses to create the paintings. He’ll cover: several important “nudges” that he has received from teachers, family and friends that have positively impacted his journey as an artist; how his training as an architect has influenced his work as an artist and his approach to creating cityscapes; how various levels of abstraction yield vastly different moods and emotional connections with the viewer, enabling them to fill in the piece based on their personal experiences.
