Senior Choices Summits
The Senior Choices Summits were developed as a means to educate the older adult population in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg area on issues of interest to seniors.
In 2010, we’ll be celebrating The Shepherd’s Center’s 30th anniversary with a Homecoming on Wednesday, April 21 at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church. You are invited to join us for lunch, a raffle and plenty of other surprises.
Planning is also underway for the final Summit which will be held In September, 2010. More information on this summit will be forthcoming. For more information, please call 704.365.1995 or email plampel@shepherdscharlotte.org.Senior Fraud Alerts

Companion Aide Referral
This program has been restructured for 2010. Instead of referring individual certified nursing assistants and sitters to families in need of help in the home, we are now referring families to agencies who supply CNA’s and sitters. When this program was originally developed, there were no agencies for families to turn to, but in the past 10 years over 140 agencies have opened in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. The Shepherd’s Center will be developing a comprehensive referral list of agencies to aid families in need of home care assistance.
