Senior Choices Summits
The Senior Choices Summits were developed as a means to educate the older adult population in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg area on legal, financial and medical/health issues.
In 2008, the Senior Choices Summits will be held in March, August and November. The March summit focuses on financial issues; the August summit on medical/health issues and the November summit will feature a tribute to veterans with information from the Veterans Administration and personal safety tips from Dan Starks. Dates are Tuesday, March 11; Tuesday, August 19 and Tuesday, November 11.

The events will be held in the fellowship hall of Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church on South Blvd. and will run from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. Each event will feature expert presenters who will speak for approximately 20 minutes each, followed by questions from the audience.
The events will also provide an opportunity for area businesses and organizations to exhibit their products or services. The exhibitor tables will be placed around the fellowship hall and will be available for attendees to browse before and after the presentations. The cost for a table sponsorship is $150 for a half table (4 ft.) or $300 for a full table (8 ft.).

The events were also established as a means to promote The Shepherd’s Center of Charlotte as a pivotal senior organization which uses senior volunteers to help other, less fortunate seniors through education, assistance and understanding.
